For our first anniversary Ruby and I travelled to Yosemite National Park in
California to climb the 8836 ft peak of the Half Dome. Along the way we
ventured thru various points in the Yosemite Valley and passed by gushing cold
waterfalls which were fed from the snow melt of the high Sierra Nevadas.
At the top of the climb once we reached the exposed rock face, you must climb
with the aid of metal cables bolted into the rock. Steep inclines,
mountainscapes and the thought of losing your grip and falling to the valley
floor 4500 ft below from such heights made for a perfect Sunday. |
